It's been quite a while now since I've last posted. Certain issues regarding identification of species, bio-piracy or bio-prospecting, patent, hybridization and royalty from hybridized varieties, indiscriminate collection of native species in the wild either for export or for the local ornamental plant species trade has made me very weary of the fact that what I put out here in my blog can be detrimental to the last populations of our very own Philippine flora. I am aware that the rapid loss of forest habitat here in my country is adding stress to species extinction. The last thing on my mind is to add injury to insult.
